Après une course menée de bout à bout par le Toyota Gazoo Racing, c'est bien la #8 qui remporte cette édition après un incroyable coup de théâtre qui s'est déroulé durant la toute dernière heure. La victoire était en effet promise à la TS050 Hybrid #7 mais cette dernière a connu une crevaison (inattendue)... Sort bien cruel qui laissa un goût amer aux pilotes terminant à la seconde place.

And it’s a second win for Toyota! The Toyota Gazoo Racing team dominated the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans from start to finish, with the #8 car emerging victorious after an incredible twist in the final hour. The race seemed destined to go to the #7 TS050 Hybrid, but an unexpected tire failure in the last moments of the race dashed their hopes. A cruel turn of fate left the drivers of the #7 car with a bitter taste, finishing in second place after what had been an almost flawless performance.
